Richard R. Carp

Richard "Rick" R. Carp of New Milford was 71 years old when he passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024. Born in Manhattan, Rick was raised in Manhattan and Ridgefield, New Jersey. After graduating from Ridgefield High School he went on to work for New Jersey Bell, later becoming Verizon, where he would have a long career with Verizon as a Facility Technician and serve as a Union Representative for IBEW Local 827. He took pride in his job and made many lifelong friends during his time with the phone company. Rick loved the beach, fishing, and was a big Yankees and Giants fan.

Rick was predeceased by his parents Richard and Gloria (nee Marsh) Carp. He is survived by his beloved wife Debbie (nee Kepple) Carp, his loving children Rick and Alexis Carp, and a devoted sister Janet Carp. Rick was the cherished son in law of Joanne (nee McCarthy) Kepple, and brother in law of Donna Allingham, Dorian, and Jeff Soares, Chris and Ed Young, and Craig and Marcia Kepple. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, April 18th from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, New Milford. The following day, Friday, a funeral service will be offered in the funeral home at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
