Mitland C. Cumberbatch

Mitland C. Cumberbatch was 82 years old when he passed away Tuesday, February 27th. Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Mitland was a longtime resident of New Jersey. He proudly served in the United States Air Force all over the world preparing fighter jets and cargo planes for various missions during the Vietnam War, Gulf War, and the Iraq War.After his service to his country, Mitland worked 29 years as a Motor Man for the MTA,  the Metropolitan Transit Authority, North America's largest transportation network.

Mitland was the son of the late Mitland Fred Cumberbatch and Hermina Octavia Cumberbatch Phillips.He is survived by is wife Octavia Blowe, a daughter Brenda Blowe, and his 4 sons Antonio Cumberbatch, Tracey Blowe, Alfonso Blowe, and Edwin Patrick Blowe. Mitland is the brother of Marva Dudley and Franklin Cumberbatch Sr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
